My family has a history of heart disease. My grandfather and father both have had the condition. How much at risk am I to have the disease as well? What can I do to prevent or slow down its effects?

I also have a family history of heart disease. My grandfather died of a heart attack and my dad has had bypass surgery. I am wondering if i am at risk as a women since it seems that the men in the family are the ones affected? Thanks
